Appendix A: Rules of Order

This Convention will operate under Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised, as adopted by the LPME Executive Committee.

Key Guidelines:

  • Motions must be seconded (unless stated otherwise)
  • Each speaker is limited to 2 minutes per contribution
  • Any decision of the Chair may be appealed
  • A 2/3 vote is required for platform amendments and public-facing policy adoption (per LPME SOP)

Appendix B: Relevant Bylaw Highlights

  • Elections: Officers, Region Representatives, and Committee seats are elected by majority vote
  • Judicial Committee: Five members, final interpretive body unless reversed by a 2/3 Convention vote
  • Convention Authority: Biennial conventions govern officer elections, bylaw updates, and platform ratification
