The Libertarian Party takes a\u00a0\u201clive and let live\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0approach to your life and public policy. We believe that, at most, governments should exist only to defend and protect the rights and freedoms of individuals.<\/p>\n

Libertarianism can also be described as a \u201cbest of both worlds\u201d approach, combining fiscal responsibility with social acceptance; we should not spend more than we take in and government has no place in your bedroom or what you do with your body. We\u2019ll actual do what both parties say they are good at, instead of offering empty rhetoric to get elected. Our solutions are guided on:<\/p>\n

  • A\u00a0free-market economy<\/strong>\u00a0and the abundance and prosperity it brings<\/li>\n
  • A dedication to\u00a0personal freedom<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0civil liberties<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • A foreign policy of\u00a0free trade, non-intervention<\/strong>, and\u00a0peace<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Most people agree with our positions, but are not familiar with the Libertarian Party, or have been misinformed about what Libertarians really believe. The fact is many people are Libertarians, but they just don\u2019t know it yet. Some people might not agree with all Libertarian positions on all issues and that is perfectly okay!<\/p>\n

    Who We Are<\/h2>\n

    The Libertarian Party is the third-largest political party in the United States. Millions of Americans have voted for Libertarian Party candidates in past elections throughout the country, despite the fact that many state governments place roadblocks in our path to keep our candidates off the ballot and deprive voters of a real choice.<\/p>\n

    Libertarians believe the answer to America\u2019s political problems is the same commitment to freedom that earned America its greatness: a\u00a0free-market economy<\/strong>\u00a0and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to\u00a0civil liberties and personal freedom<\/strong>; and a foreign policy of\u00a0non-intervention, peace, and free trade<\/strong>\u00a0as prescribed by America\u2019s founders.<\/p>\n

    What began with a small group of activists in Colorado has become America\u2019s third largest political party. We are\u00a0the only political organization which respects you as a unique and competent individual.<\/p>\n

    America\u2019s Heritage<\/h4>\n

    Libertarians believe in the American heritage of liberty, enterprise, and personal responsibility. Libertarians recognize the responsibility we all share to preserve this precious heritage for our children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n

    Free and Independent<\/h4>\n

    Libertarians believe that being free and independent is a great way to live. We want a system which encourages all people to choose what they want from life; that lets them live, love, work, play, and dream their own way.<\/p>\n

    Caring For People<\/h4>\n

    The Libertarian way is a caring, people-centered approach to politics. We believe each individual is unique. We want a system which respects the individual and encourages us to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential.<\/p>\n

    Principled, Consistent<\/h4>\n

    The Libertarian way is a logically consistent approach to politics based on the moral principle of self-ownership. Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech, and property. Government\u2019s only role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud.<\/p>\n

    Tolerant<\/h4>\n

    The Libertarian Party is for all who don\u2019t want to push other people around and don\u2019t want to be pushed around themselves. Live and let live is the Libertarian way.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
