I am 53 years old, and I didn’t know I was a Libertarian until nine years ago.
We already know there are disheartened former Republicans, Democrats, and Greens who have come to the Libertarian realization. Beyond that, I believe there are thousands of unenrolled Mainers who don’t yet know they’re actually Libertarians. We are making the move to find those people, and we need your help.
Please LIKE our Facebook page, Libertarian Party of Maine, and invite those whom you believe fit the bill. Social media is helping us spread the word, and we also recently upgraded our website with a new look and with new links to assist with outreach and fundraising. Please go to lpme.org and sign up to receive regular updates. Find a list of Libertarian contacts in your area. If you don’t see your area listed, reach out to me at chair@lpme.org. We’ll help you find more Libertarians in your area and invite you to our online meetings, so you can meet other Libertarians from around Maine.
The LPME needs three things to grow: better organization, better outreach, and more money. If you can help with any of these, we’d love to have you on board. If you have little money but some time, we have needs for volunteers. If you’d rather lay low and just donate some cash, there’s a place to do that on the website. We can’t battle the two-party system without you, and we look forward to meeting you and seeing the LPME grow!
